TDF - Week 1 Report
14th APRIL 2009, The Tuesday DotA Fever: Weekly Tournament (TDF) undergoes its first run of the week. Registrations for TDF were overwhelmingly fast as groups of fives gather outside the FTZ Asia.net Cyber Café to book a place in the top 8 finale. Those that made it in time for the first 8 draftings were Team NSP, CyberTime, Epic, SK, MY, KakiDotA, ABC, and IDK respectively. Crowd favorites CyberTime managed to make it all the way to the semi-final before losing out to Team Epic that consists of the notorious Bone from the Lowyat.net forum. Another crowd puller was Team ABC, making it all the more noticeable with their constant half-hour mark winnings, followed by a yam-char session soon after – due to excess time. With onlookers peeking from outside the glass panes of the FTZ Asia.net Cyber Café seeking DotA thrills, we knew that the grand finale between Team Epic and Team ABC would definitely be a replay saver – and so it was! Heroes: Priestess of the Moon, Rhasta, Admiral, Shadow Shaman, Faerie Dragon, and Warlock.
BANS: Holy Knight, Tide Hunter, Earthshaker, and Nerubian Assasin.
Team ABC (Scourge Side)
Heroes: Death Prophet, Lord of Olympia, Axe, Demon Witch, and Enigma
BANS: Tinker, Undying, Omniknight, and Crystal Maiden
With suave movements and l33t APM (Action Per-Minute) skills, Team ABC manages to dispose of Team Epic relatively easy. With excellent chemistry within the group, Team ABC soon emerge winners with a swift destruction of the World Tree before extra time.Week 1 Champions: Team ABC
