In anticipation of Blizzard's launching of Starcraft II later this year. SMM will be holding a national Starcraft I (Broodwar) tournament in February. Make yourself a chance to grab attractive cash and prizes for this special event. Further updated details will be release soon, so stay tune.

With the successful commenced of SMM National Grand Final DotA competition, the winner Kingsurf team walkaway a cash prize of RM33,000 after an intensive battle with MKVL. They were also presented SMM DotA Challenge trophy with their team name engrave on the trophy by Mr. Ricky.

According to SMM's CEO Mr.Ricky Lim the prize for 2008 tournament will be even bolder, he also challenged the players, "Keep playing DotA and you won't be short changed!"

The Grand Final DotA Tournament opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Ricky Lim (CEO of SMM), YB Dato S. Veerasingam (Malaysian Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs), Ms. Samantha Chiu (Business Development Director of Blizzard-Asia Pacific). Then was followed by a series of intensifying and entertaining matches by the 32 teams from all over Malaysia.

Sendi Mutiara Multimedia Sdn. Bhd brought in another Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game(MMORPG) into Malaysia - Granado Espada(GE). Having the grand launch done in Cineleisure Damansara, the game lead to a great success of bringing in somewhat of 53,000 gamers signed-up before the launching.

A total of US$56 million was spent on developing the game into a highly-refined 3D graphics and music mixed by DJ Tiesto and produced by SoundTEMP. Unlike other games, GE also has multi-character control that allow players to control up to 3 characters simultaneously.

According to SMM CEO Mr. Ricky, this game is so much more creative than the traditional MMORPG with the extraordinary gameplay and characteristic. The game is also based on a European scenario, which is different from other online games. "Most games are more on cartoons. The historical elements and background are not there." Mr. Ricky also added.

GE is a game for people who can appreciate architecture and graphics especially. Even the cosplay has beautiful design, he explained. During the Grand Launch in Cineleisure, Jin Sha and Rynn attended the wonderful opening ceremony as the ambassador for the game, they also sing the GE theme song together on the stage, the grand launch were after that followed by series of tournaments, in-game competition and free gifts.
